The women’s match saw another dominant performance by the Golden Jackals who outscored the Panthers in every third of this high-scoring match. The Panthers ran over the top of Panthers in the final third kicking four goals to one for a commanding five goal victory. Cody had a day to remember, kicking four and Tud also kept the scorers busy with a hat-trick. The women’s run towards the Asian Champs continued with some great footy on display.

Men’s

With the Asian Champs fast approaching the decision was made to set aside the rivalry between the Panthers and the Jackals in favour of a well planned scratchie, which allowed the coaches to arrange the matchups. 

It was yellow who made the better start with early goals to Pez and Welby but black surged back in the second half with nine goals. Nick kicked his first ever goal after Pez made a run down the flank and found Skinny with a handpass over the top. Skinny handpassed back inside to Nick who slotted it through. Tinkie kept Mani quiet with some gutsy defending, including a big hit along the boundary that saw Mani come down along the concrete drainage ditch. It may have been a scratchie but the intensity was there. J-Mac continued his comeback with a hat-trick of goals, G-Mac did a great job on Frankie down back and Manimal celebrated his first game of the season with a goal after a busy day running in the middle. Leyton also returned with the whistle to cop an earful. The Tigers run to the Asian Champs is well on track.
